Excellence In & Out Of The Classroom

Heritage Christian Academy has embraced the concept that athletics play a meaningful and necessary role in the overall education of a student. The idea that an athletic program can complement a strong academic curriculum is one that has inspired the school to provide its students with many ways to wear the HCA logo proudly. The concepts that children learn in team sports prepare them for the challenges and rigors of life.

HCA offers a variety of sports, including Baseball & Softball, Basketball, Cheerleading, Dance, Football , Golf , Tennis , Track & Field , and Volleyball . The students who participate in athletics learn to develop important character traits such as commitment, loyalty, integrity, respect for others and themselves, and an appreciation for the benefits of hard work. Inevitably, they emerge from the process as confident young people capable of making intelligent decisions and gracefully accepting the consequences. They experience victory and defeat, the camaraderie of the team, the benefits of cooperation, and the passion and joy of competition. It is important that all students are given the opportunity to participate in more than one sport if they choose. Many students do not mature physically until late high school, but because they were given the opportunity to participate in athletics and develop those foundational principals, they were prepared to contribute as a junior or senior at a high level, which in turn allowed them to play sports at the college level.

Fall Sports Banquet Video Upload

We would like to reach out to the HCA family and include portions of your best "home" videos in this year's sports banquet season compilation video. These video clips are not necessarily player specific, but rather a good representation of the team and it's accomplishments. While we would like to include every minute of every video, that is just not practical, so please understand if portions of some clips end up on the cutting room floor.

Physical Evaluation & Acknowledgement of Rules Requirements

Per TAPPS and HCA guidelines, students participating in athletic activities must review both the Physical Evaluation / Medical History Form and the Acknowledgement of Rules Form. Parents and students must provide honest and thorough answers and return the completed forms back to the school office. Student safety is of highest importance, and these steps will help regulate and protect our students competing in sporting and extra-curricular activities.
