PTF Mission & Description

The Parent Teacher Fellowship is a group of volunteers who join together to enhance the educational and spiritual well-being of the HCA students and look to bring a closer relationship between home and school. Supporting and encouraging teachers, students and families is the ultimate goal. Meetings are held on Wednesdays each month (September 6, October 11, November 8, December 13, January 10, February 7, March 7, April 11, & May 9) at 8:00 a.m. in Heritage Hall and are open to all parents. We will also have two evening meetings (September 12 & January 16) from 6:30-7:30 pm. The ways PTF contribute to the bettering of HCA are: offering family activities during the year, encouraging our teachers in various ways, coordinating volunteers for several school activities, and organizing fundraising efforts to fund items for the school. We look forward to getting the secondary students more involved in PTF and our fundraiser and are excited to provide more for the middle & high school students and campus.

In 2016-17, the PTF was able to provide the following as a result of their fundraising and school programs:

  • Technology Items - $13,687
  • Water Bottle Filling Stations/Installation - $1,583
  • Graduation Support for K5, 6th & 12th Grade - $300
  • Family Fellowship & Hospitality for HCA Staff - $8,540
  • School Beautification - $860
  • Paper for the Teacher Workrooms - $2,000
  • Senior Scholarships - $1,000
