Greetings! My name is Katie Birt, and I am blessed to be a teacher at Heritage Christian Academy. This is my sixth year at HCA, and this year I am teaching 9th grade World Geography, and 10th grade World History. I received my B.A. in Sociology from the University of California, Berkeley, and my Masters of Arts in Education from Vanguard University. This is my 20th year teaching history.
My husband, Steven, and I, along with our children, Claire and Luke, have called Texas our home for the past eight years. We love Jesus, BBQ, and the Dallas Cowboys. I truly believe teaching is a calling from the Lord in my life, and I look forward to a wonderful year of exploring history and geography through the eyes of our Creator.
