God has given the responsibility of training children primarily to parents, and HCA takes great pride in supporting the parents in this role. In partnership with families, HCA shares in the commitment to the success of each child in each classroom. We consider it a privilege and great responsibility to educate students in a Christ centered, college preparatory environment that supports the training they receive at home.
A sense of “we're in this together” on part of the families, the faculty, administration, and the school board is how “partnership” finds its greatest expression in our school.
HCA & Helping Families
An internalized , integrated and inculcated Christian education is attainable only when the school is working in partnership with families.
Partnership with families implies a shared commitment to the success and life of the school beyond that which impacts our own child or classroom. Partnership implies going the extra mile, benefit of the doubt, mutual respect and civility, allocation of resources, access, accountability, and communication.
Some ways that HCA provides a “family feel” is by having our family events such as, Back-to-School Picnic, All School Worship Night, Chili Cook Off Fundraiser, Grandparents' Day, Donuts with Dudes, Muffins with Moms, Veterans' Day Assembly, and the Christmas Parade (to name a few)!
There are also ways for families to volunteer alongside HCA through Parent Teacher Fellowship, Room Moms, Field Trip Helpers, Fun Run Helpers, among others.
At HCA, we are committed to walking alongside parents as we raise students to be Godly Leaders. Two ways that HCA walks with parents are by providing Parent Education Nights and by guiding parents through book studies. We are always looking for opportunities to equip you in your high calling.
