Fred Hurst

This is my fifth year at H.C.A. but my 39th year in education.  I spent all of my previous years with the Carrollton Farmers Branch I.S.D. where I taught all levels of Physics, I.P.C., geology, and astronomy.  I come from a long line of math and science teachers and I love all things nerdy. 

When not teaching, I love to play chess, fish, hike, and camp.  I have three grown children and four grandchildren.  My oldest child--Holly, is a school psychologist in San Antonio.  My middle child, Andy, works with international students at the University of Arkansas, while my youngest --Will, is a physical therapist in Fayetteville, Arkansas.  My better half of 38 years--Robin, is a school nurse working with special needs students for the Mesquite I.S.D.  

I am excited to be a part of the Eagle's nest and look forward to teaching your children science.
