I am so thankful to be able to teach at HCA! This is my second year at Heritage, in second grade, and my seventh year in education.

I originally started in Montessori education (3 - 6 year olds) and have also taught 1st grade. I'm so thankful that God has opened the doors to work here, where I cannot only be a teacher but also teach about Jesus Christ and help students grow in their relationship with Him.  

My favorite part of teaching is witnessing when things really "click" for students outside of me. I love seeing when their love for learning or interest in a topic is intrinsically motivated—and helping them find that thing that hooks them into learning and growing!

I am originally from Washington State, but we have lived in Texas for a couple of years. When I'm not at school, I love to play with my daughter, hang out with family and friends, and read. I also attend FBC Rockwall and have been so blessed to connect with and grow my circle of close friends there.
