I have the privilege of serving our students and families as the Secondary Assistant Principal. It is such a blessing to work in an environment that is Christ-centered.
I have been married to my wife, Olivia, for 15 glorious years. Getting to live life with your best friend is an absolute gift! Olivia is a financial advisor who has also served in education. Before working in finance, she served as the Executive Director of PR and Communication for Terrell ISD. I have two beautiful children as well. My son, MJ, will be a 1st grader at HCA this year. He loves all things dinosaurs. So much so that I have now, through his fascination, become quite the dinosaur expert myself. Lucy, my daughter, is a fierce three-year-old. She knows exactly what she wants and ensures that everyone else is aware of it as well. She will be attending HCA next school year, and I cannot wait for both of them to be here!
I attended Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) to earn both my Bachelor of Arts in English and a Masters in Organizational Leadership (MOL). My experience there was life-changing. I was surrounded by professors praying for me and weaving a Biblical worldview into every class. It truly shaped the man I have become. For God to have placed me at HCA, where I am surrounded by staff with the same heart for students, who are constantly praying and incorporating Truth, I AM HONORED. After college, I entered the business world and worked in HR. While the job was good, and the people were great, I felt the Lord calling me into the classroom. So I left what I knew, and trusted His direction. Over the course of my time in public education, I taught English/Language Arts at Herman Furlough, Jr. Middle School and Terrell High School. From there, I became an Assistant Principal at Terrell High School and then moved to a district-level position that oversaw ELA curriculum and instruction for Terrell ISD’s secondary students and staff.
Now, I find myself exactly where God wants me, serving the students, families, and staff of Heritage Christian Academy, and I am truly grateful for this gift!
