Debra Schumaker

Hello, I am Debra Schumaker, and I am so excited to be at Heritage Christian Academy!  I have taught for 38 years with this being my third year at Heritage Christian.  My heart has always been in Christian education with all three of my children attending K4-graduation in Christian schools. My husband was an athletic director/coach for many years, but is now retired, with our home being located in Wylie.

I am blessed with most of my family living close by.  My son and his family live in Wylie, my daughter and family live in Sachse, with my other daughter and her family live in the Houston area.  They have blessed us with seven grandchildren, ages ranging from 16-2, who are the apples of our eye! 

I believe that every child that I encounter is a divine appointment and that most importantly, I want them to be aware that Jesus loves them, they are special, and that they were created for a purpose.  All the extra learning that those little ones can do is just the icing on the cake!

I covet your prayers for my classroom, my students, their families, and for myself.  It is a distinct honor to be able to teach at Heritage Christian Academy.
