Hey all! I joined the HCA family in 2009 and teach Pre-K3 - 6th-grade music as well as High School Drumline. I hold two degrees from Texas A&M University-Commerce; a BS in Music Education and an M.Ed. in Early Childhood Education.  During my undergraduate time in Commerce, as a student of Dr. Brian Zator, I was named principal percussionist for the Wind Symphony, awarded the Freeman-Ferrell Distinguished Musicianship Scholarship, and awarded the Blue-Chip Teacher  Recruit Scholarship. Notable performances include the conventions of the Texas Music Educator's Association, College Band Directors National Association, and Percussive Arts Society.

I am certified in First Steps in Music for Preschool and Beyond. I have completed Level I training in World Music Drumming and received my Level III certification in Orff-Schulwerk from SMU. I also serve on the board of the Rockwall Philharmonic Orchestra and am a member of the Texas Music Educator’s Association.

My husband and I have been married for fifteen years, and all four of our kids are HCA students. We are active members at our church here in town where you'll find me teaching preschool on Sunday mornings and children's choir on Wednesday nights.

...but be filled with the Spirit, addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart, giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ. --Ephesians 5:18-21
