I am Warren Southers, and this is my first year at HCA and my 37th year as a teacher and coach. I received my A.S. at South Plains College and my B.S. at Texas Tech University. I will teach 7th-grade Texas History and 8th-grade US history, coach the varsity girls' basketball team, and coach tennis. I believe God called me to be a teacher and coach as a ministry, and I am very excited to continue this calling at HCA.
My wife, Misti, and I have been married for 33 years. We have three adult children (Weston, Addison, and Jackson) and one granddaughter (Turner). All three of our children are married and live in the D/FW area. Misti is a physical therapist who works primarily with geriatric patients at assisted living locations.
God has greatly blessed me with a wonderful wife and family. We love to spend time together, and I love being a grandad. I enjoy sports, reading, travel, and family history.
